One of the first things I did when I decided to start the keto diet was look up keto recipes. I needed a diet that would help me eat more consciously, but not be extremely restrictive. History has proven that I will not sustain an overly restrictive diet. Judge me all you want, but this character flaw motivated me to create keto recipes that allow me to enjoy most of the food I grew up eating…. minus the carbs.

My Keto Jamaican Beef Patties taste so much like the real thing that it is hard to believe no white flour was used in this recipe. This has been confirmed by members of my YouTube family who have tried this recipe on their own.
This Keto Jamaican Beef Patty recipe is centered around the perfectly flavored beef. The traditional flavor of the beef is solidified with the spices in this recipe along with the flavors of my green seasoning. I include my green seasoning in most of savory keto recipes for an extra kick of flavor. I made the necessary adjustments to this traditional Jamaican recipe to ensure that it is, indeed, low carb and keto-friendly, but I made sure not to sacrifice the flavor.

How to Make Keto Jamaican Beef Patties
Prep
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Assemble ingredients. Wash and chop scallion. Wash and chop Thyme. Wash scotch bonnet pepper.
Cook the Meat
You want to start by preparing your beef because you want to give your juicy, flavorful beef time to cook and cool down before stuffing your patties. Start by adding the ghee to a hot frying pan and then your beef. While the beef is cooking down start mincing your beef with your meat crusher. Once the meat is crushed, add your seasonings to the beef, and mix it all together.
Once your beef is seasoned, add tomato sauce, chopped scallion, the scotch bonnet pepper (optional), and water. Let the beef cook down in the flavorful juices and then let it sit and cool once the mixture thickens.
Make the Dough
While your beef is flavoring up. Get started on your dough! Add the egg, curry powder, turmeric powder, and stevia to a bowl and mix well. Next, combine your almond flour and baking powder in another bowl and mix well. In a microwave-safe bowl, add your mozzarella cheese. Warm the mozzarella cheese until it is melted.
Now that your cheese is melted, add the egg mixture to the melted cheese and mix well. Add the almond flour mixture to the cheese mixture and form your Keto Jamaican Beef Patty Dough! If your dough is a bit sticky, place the bowl in the fridge for a little while to let it firm up a bit.
Create Your Keto Patties!
Now that we have our dough, it’s time to officially make our Keto Beef Patties! Roll your dough flat out to about 1 inch of thickness between two sheets of parchment paper. Lift the top sheet of parchment paper off and then start cutting out equally sized circles of dough. You can use any circular item to do this. I personally use the cover of my protein powder container.
Once all of your circles of dough have been formed, fill the centers of the circles with spoons of your juicy beef. Make sure your beef has little to no liquid. You don’t want liquid running. From your Keto Beef Patties!
Close your Keto Beef Patty circle by folding it over the beef filling at the center. Next, use a fork to seal the edges of the Keto Beef Patties. Last, use the fork to poke a few holes in top of each patty.
Bake Your Keto Patties
To bake your patties, line your baking sheet pan with parchment paper. Line all of your patties up on your baking sheet equidistant apart and ensure they are not touching. Bake your patties until browned.
Enjoy!
You can eat these patties all by themselves or you can enjoy a few of them with a refreshing salad on the side.
